Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP) is a community-driven pathway for permanent residence in 11 designated rural Canadian communities. The community recommends the applicant; the federal government issues PR.
Communities (as of 2026 — some may exit / new may join):
• Ontario: North Bay, Sudbury, Timmins, Sault Ste Marie, Thunder Bay
• Manitoba: Altona / Rhineland, Brandon
• Saskatchewan: Moose Jaw
• Alberta: Claresholm
• British Columbia: Vernon, West Kootenay

§1 — RNIP ELIGIBILITY (150-180 words)

§2 — COMMUNITY APPLICATION PROCESS (200-250 words)
Stage 1 — Job offer:

Stage 2 — Community Recommendation:
• Submit application to community's RNIP intake (e.g. via local immigration partnership)
