Job Check + Employer Accreditation — chain for non-Green List occupations
For non-Green List standard occupations, the Employer Accreditation → Job Check → AEWV chain. Wage + advertising disciplines.

Build an Employer Accreditation + Job Check chain strategy for [EMPLOYER_NAME] ([EMPLOYER_TYPE]) hiring [NUMBER_OF_HIRES] AEWV workers for [POSITION_TITLE] (ANZSCO [ANZSCO_CODE]) at NZD [ANNUAL_SALARY_NZD]/year.
§1 — ACCREDITATION TYPES (90-110 words)
INZ Employer Accreditation under WK3.5 instructions — four types based on size + structure:
Standard ([NUMBER_OF_HIRES] <5 per year):
• Lowest scrutiny; basic compliance + employment law adherence + HR practices
• Fee NZD 740
• Valid 12 months initially, 24 months renewal
High-volume ([NUMBER_OF_HIRES] ≥5 per year):
• Higher scrutiny; comprehensive HR systems
• Fee NZD 1,990
• Same validity
Franchisee:
• For franchised businesses with national operations
• Fee NZD 2,210
• Stricter compliance requirements
Triangular (Labour-hire):
• For labour-hire / contractor businesses placing workers at third-party sites
• Fee NZD 3,870
• Most rigorous compliance with mandatory worker-deployment reporting
§2 — ACCREDITATION REQUIREMENTS (90-110 words)
Common to all types:
• Genuinely trading business (NZ Companies Office registration)
• Compliance with employment law (Employment Relations Act, Holidays Act, Minimum Wage Act)
• Good tax compliance (IRD records clean)
• ACC levy compliance
• HR policies + practices documented
• Commitment to migrant worker integration + welfare
• No adverse history with INZ, MBIE, or Employment NZ
• For High-volume + Triangular: additional commitments around migrant worker support + training pathways
Documentation:
• Business records, financials, IRD + ACC records, HR policies, sample employment agreements, signed declarations.
§3 — JOB CHECK COMPONENT (110-140 words)
After Accreditation, [EMPLOYER_NAME] files Job Check for [POSITION_TITLE]:
• Application fee: NZD 735 [VERIFY]
• Documents: detailed job description tied to ANZSCO [ANZSCO_CODE] lead statement + main duties
• Wage justification: [ANNUAL_SALARY_NZD] must meet/exceed median wage threshold (currently NZD 31.61/hour = NZD 65,750/year for 40 hrs/week; verify current at INZ Median Wage)
• Labour Market Test (where required):
- Advertising on at least 2 platforms (Trade Me Jobs, Seek, MBIE Jobs Online)
- 21+ days minimum
- Title, salary, location, contact details, role description matching ANZSCO duties
- Document applications received + reason for non-selection
• LMT exemptions:
- Green List occupations
- Sector Agreement occupations (limited)
- Some specialist positions (chartered engineers, medical specialists)
• Decision: 3-8 weeks
§4 — COMMON FAILURE MODES (90-110 words)
• Job description doesn't match ANZSCO lead statement → Job Check declined
• Wage below median → Job Check declined unless Sector Agreement exception
• Insufficient advertising evidence → Job Check declined
• Job description "constructed" to fit specific candidate → INZ flags as not genuine
• [EMPLOYER_NAME] history of non-compliance with employment law → Accreditation revoked OR not approved
• Triangular employer placing worker at non-disclosed sites → Job Check + Accreditation reviewed
Job Check is the most common failure point — careful drafting + genuine labour-market documentation are essential.
§5 — VARIATION OF CONDITIONS (60-80 words)
After Job Check approved, [CLIENT_NAME] (worker) lodges AEWV. Subsequent changes:
• Change of employer: new accreditation + Job Check + AEWV
• Change of role at same employer: variation of conditions OR new Job Check
• Change of work location: variation of conditions
• Promotion within same role: variation only if wage / conditions materially change
• Reduction of hours below threshold: not permitted; may breach visa conditions
§6 — STRATEGIC TIMING (40-60 words)
Recommended sequence:
1. Employer Accreditation (4-6 weeks)
2. Worker recruitment / selection in parallel
3. Job Check submitted with employment agreement (3-8 weeks)
4. AEWV application by worker (4-10 weeks)
5. Worker arrival
Total: 4-6 months from start to onshore. Plan annual recruitment cycles around this.

Job Check refusal is recoverable (refile with stronger labour-market evidence) but Accreditation refusal is more durable; ensure HR + compliance fundamentals before initiating chain."Purchase the vault to unlock
